Armenian-American cooperation: Fire and rescue squad new building is commissioned in Ashotsk village

The newly constructed building of the No. 52 Fire and Rescue Squad has been put into operation in Ashotsk village of Armenia’s Shirak Province, the Ministry of Emergency Situations (MES) informs Armenian News-NEWS.am.

The opening ceremony was attended by Minister of Emergency Situations Armen Pambukhchyan; Head of the Office of Defense Cooperation of the US Embassy in Yerevan, Lieutenant Colonel Daniel Singleton; Bilateral Affairs Officer at the Embassy, Major Michael Hayes; and numerous others.

The construction of the aforesaid building was carried out with the assistance by the United States European Command, the Military Cooperation Office of the US Embassy in Yerevan, and the MES.

The construction had started in 2021. The building, with an area of about 700 square meters, was completely built, and the respective area was provided by the Ashotsk village hall. This fire and rescue squad is provided with the necessary equipment and all the necessary communal facilities.
